DA U16 Recap: Kendall in a romp

Kendall SC delivered a statement win, blasting Orlando City 4-0 in a battle of undefeated Southeast Division frontrunners.

The result leaves Kendall at 6-0 and clearly ahead of the pack. Orlando City, at 4-1, slips to second, but remains in the automatic playoff spot.

Sebastian Herran and Anthony Quiroz gave Kendall a 2-0 lead before halftime and Juan Gamino and Gabriel Osorio tacked on game-clinchers in the second half.

East

Leading the Way: Northeast - 1. New York Red Bulls (3-0-0, 3.00), 2. Albertson SC (4-2-0, 2.00). Atlantic - 1. PDA (6-0-0, 3.00) and PA Classics (5-0-0, 3.00). Southeast - 1. Kendall SC (6-0-0, 3.00) and Orlando City (4-1-0, 2.40).

Who’s Hot: PDA and Kendall SC are only 6-0 teams in the Development Academy. Only the New York Red Bulls (3-0) and FC Dallas (2-0) can match the start of these East Conference teams.

Matthew McCraith scored in the 89th minute as Revolution Empire edged FC Bolts Celtic. … Cameron Harr scored three goals as PDA remained perfect through six matches with a 4-0 win over the Virginia Rush. … Andrew Samuels scored the lone goal as Chargers SC defeated IMG Academy 1-0. … South Carolina United Battery’s Marcelo Malpartida scored twice during a wild nine-minute scoring spree that saw five goals in what ended as a 3-3 draw with the Carolina Rapids. … Brendan Dennis delivered the match-winning goal in the 85th minute as Oakwood SC rallied for a 2-1 win over Albertson SC. … North Carolina Fusion defeated Charlotte Soccer Academy 2-0.

Central

Leading the Way: Frontier - 1. FC Dallas (2-0-0, 3.00), 2. Real Colorado (2-0-1, 2.33) and Colorado Rush (2-0-1, 2.33). Mid-America: 1. Chicago Magic PSG (5-1-0, 2.50), 2. CSA Wolves (3-0-2, 2.20).

Who’s Hot: Scott Gallagher-Metro. After an 0-3 start, SLSG-Metro has put together a 3-0-2 run to climb into sixth place in the 13-team Mid-America Division.

Chicago Magic PSG strengthened its hold on first place in the Mid-America Division with as 3-2 win over FC Wisconsin. Fredi Ortega led the way with a pair of goals. … Jackson Yueill scored the winner as Minnesota Thunder Academy topped Scott Gallagher-Mo. 1-0. … Clayton Pearson scored the lone goal as Scott Gallagher-Metro edged Shattuck-St. Mary’s 1-0.

Saturday
Solar Chelsea received goals from three players plus an own goal to post a 4-1 win over the San Antonio Scorpions. … Zachary Simmons, Josue Pacheco and Alberto Carmona-Garcia scored as the Texas Rush defeated the Dallas Texans 3-0. … Brendan McDonough and Keegan Gordon scored second-half goals to lead Scott Gallagher-Mo. to a 2-0 win over Shattuck-St. Mary’s. … Zach Becker gave Scott Gallagher-Metro a 1-0 lead before Jackson Yueill of Minnesota Thunder Academy tied it 10 minutes later in a 1-1 finish.

West

Leading the Way: Northwest - 1. Vancouver Whitecaps (4-1-2, 2.00), Crossfire Premier (4-1-2, 2.00) and San Jose Earthquakes (4-2-0, 2.00). Southwest - 1. Arsenal FC (2-0-1, 2.33), 2. LA Galaxy (3-0-2, 2.20).

Who’s Hot: De Anza Force. This was an easy call since De Anza was the only West Conference team to win last week.
