Nike+ Football The Opening Finals
Who: The top 166 high school football players in the nation as selected by Student Sports after film evaluation and/or in-person evaluation at one of The Opening Regionals or Nike+ Football Rating Days.
What: The Opening Finals presented by Nike+ Football is four days of dynamic training, coaching and competition for the country’s most elite high school football players. Every position and every aspect of the game will be highlighted over the course of the four-day program. Past events have featured NFL stars like Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Ndamukong Suh, Marshawn Lynch, Todd Gurley, Richard Sherman and Darrelle Revis coaching participants in a variety of drills and competitions. The Opening Finals is undoubtedly the most high profile high school football event in the nation. Last year it drew media coverage from ESPN.com, Bleacher Report, Scout.com, 247sports.com, Rivals.com, NFL Network, USA Today and every other major recruiting website, as well as being featured with eight hours of broadcast on ESPNU.
When: Nike+ Football The Opening Finals 2016 will be held July 5-10, 2016.
Where: Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
How much: The invite-only event is free to attend.
The Opening Finals brings together top performers from all of The Nike+ Football The Opening Regionals and Nike+ Football Rating Days, combined with other top prospects – all battling for the chance to claim ultimate bragging rights.
The Nike 7on Championship: The Opening Finals is where the best meet the best. 126 athletes, 6 teams, 2 days of competitition to be named the Nike+ 7on Champion.
The Final 5 Linemen Challenge: Nowhere else will linemen get to strap on the pads and compete against high school football’s elite. The nation’s top 20 offensive linemen and top 20 defensive linemen compete for three days to be named a part of The Final 5.
The Nike+ Football Rating Championship: High school football’s top athlete is named at The Opening Finals. The Opening Finals athlete who puts down the top Nike+ Football Rating on ESPNU will take home the trophy and join the likes of Landon Collins (NY Giants), Mike Mitchell (Texas Tech), Speedy Noil (Texas A&M) and Kirk Merritt (Oregon).
