The Dallas Nike Football Training Camp held Saturday at DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas saw hundreds of the top football players from the Southwest work out with many of the top coaches in the country. Seven more also received the coveted invite to The Opening.

Here’s a look at those from today’s camp who will be traveling to Oregon this summer for The Opening as well as those receiving MVP positional honors…

The Opening 2014 Invites

QB – Kyler Murray – Allen (Texas)
Murray turned in one of the top QB performance of 2014 on Saturday, after completing 207 passes in 325 attempts for 3,669 yards with 46 TDs and only nine interceptions as a junior to earn MaxPreps Jr. All-American honors, AP Class 5A 2nd Team All-State and 10-5A District MVP.  He’s also a dual threat as he ran for 1,274 yards on 151 attempts and is rated by 247Sports as the No. 2 Dual-Threat QB in the nation and No. 31 overall prospect.  Kyler has more than 15 offers including favorites such as Texas A&M, Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech.

WR – DaMarkus Lodge – Cedar Hill (Texas)
Lodge is ranked as the No. 4 receiver in the 2015 class by 247 Sports and the No. 53 overall recruit. He caught 72 passes for 1,265 yards and 22 TDs last year and was the Offensive MVP for District 7-5A.  He has nearly 24 dozen offers including early leaders such as Baylor, Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU.

OL – Patrick Vahe – Trinity (Euless, Texas)
Vahe, who was named OL MVP, was a MaxPreps Jr. All-American as a junior and a Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State selection. He’s rated by 247 Sports as the No. 8 Guard and 169th overall prospect in his class. Despite offers from Baylor and LSU, Patrick committed to Texas last summer.

LB – Malik Jefferson – Poteet (Mesquite, Texas)
Jefferson recorded 93 tackles, 18 for loss with 14 sacks and three forced fumbles and was rewarded with MaxPreps Junior All-American status, Dallas Morning News All-Area and District 10-4A Defensive Player of the Year. He’s rated as the No. 3 Outside Linebacker by 247 Sports and the 16th rated overall prospect. Malik has two dozen offers including leaders such as Alabama, Texas A&M, Baylor, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas.

DB – Justin Dunning – Whitehouse (Texas)
Dunning is a tall safety who has committed to Texas A&M over offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Florida State and LSU.  He is ranked as the No. 12 safety in the Class of 2015 by 247Sports.com.

DB – P.J. Mbanasor – Hendrickson (Pflugerville, Texas)
Mbanasor was a District 16-5A selection as a junior last year and has offers from over 20 programs including Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and TCU.

DB – Will Sunderland – Midwest City (Okla.)
Sunderland was rated by The Oklahoman as the No. 4 prospect in the 2015 Super 30 prospects.  A 2nd Team All-State pick, the safety has offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tulsa instate as well as Arkansas.  Last season he had 98 tackles with six interceptions.

Position Group MVP’s

QB – Kyler Murray – Allen (Texas)
Murray was even better than advertised on Saturday.
RB – JaMycal Hasty – Longview (Texas)
The Baylor commit showed unmatched explosiveness.
WR – DaMarkus Lodge – Cedar Hill (Texas)
Lodge staked his claim for the #1 wide receiver spot in 2015.
OL – Patrick Vahe – Trinity (Euless, Texas)
Vahe went unbeaten in his Final 5 reps and set the tone for a good day by the OL.
DL – George Lea – Landry-Walker (New Orleans, La.)
Lea ended the day with an epic matchup against Vahe.  Despite Vahe getting the best of him, Lea was dominant throughout the rest of the day
LB – Malik Jefferson – Poteet (Mesquite, Texas)
Physical specimen dominated the Dallas NFTC from beginning to end.
DB – Will Sunderland – Midwest City (Okla.)
Sunderland took care of business, taking home an Opening invite on top of his MVP Honors
SPARQ – Justice Austin – North Little Rock (Little Rock, Ark.) – 124.08
Those North Little Rock athletes continue to show up and dominate SPARQ Testing
