Miami NFSC – All-Combine Team

North Miami Beach, Fla. – Over 1,500 football players attended the Miami Nike Football Combine at North Miami Stadium. With over 30 players who’ve earned scholarship in attendance, South Florida was out to prove that the 305 is once again home to the fastest players in the country. Here is a look at the 25-standout performers who make up the Miami NFSC All-Combine Team.

Note: Selections are based upon combine performance as well as past and projected on-field performance. Athletes must have completed two of the four combine tests to be eligible for selection. Athletes are in the Class of 2014 unless otherwise noted.

OFFENSE

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiQB Lamar Jackson, 6-2, 181, Boynton Beach (Fla.)
Results: 4.79 40, 4.82 SH, 33.0’ PB, 29.8” VJ, 64.92 SPARQ
Breakdown: An AP Class 6A All-State selection after throwing for over 1,500 yards. Tennessee, Nebraska, Clemson and Florida State have all offered the electrifying passer.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiRB Carlin Fils-Aime, 5-10 ½, 175, Naples (Fla.)
Results: 4.83 40, 4.37 SH, 31.0’ PB, 40.8” VJ, 87.36 SPARQ
Breakdown: Rushed for 887 yards and 13 touchdowns, leading to an offer from Miami. The shifty back had the combine’s best vertical jump.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiRB Robert Burns (2017), 5-10, 207, Miami (Fla.) Gulliver
Results: 4.67 40, 4.63 SH, 39.0’ PB, 36.5” VJ, 99.69
Breakdown: Burns is on his way to becoming a nationally recognized name with offers already in hand from Ohio State, Cincinnati and West Virginia.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiRB Amir Rasul (2016), 5-11, 194, Miami (Fla.) Columbus
Results: 4.52 40, 4.50 SH, 34.0” VJ, 31.3” VJ, 89.10 SPARQ
Breakdown: Rasul ran a combine best 40’ time, now its time for the young back to show that speed on the field next year.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiRB: Alex Anderson, 6-0, 184, Miramar (Fla.)
Results: 4.68 40, 4.59 SH, 35.0’ PB, 33.9” VJ, 83.70 SPARQ
Breakdown: Wisconsin, NC State, Tennessee and Boston College are a few of the schools that have offered the highly touted back.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiWR Brock Miller (2016), 6-3, 189, Vero Beach (Fla.) Saint Edward’s
Results: 4.73 40,, 4.25 SH, 38.0’ PB, 35.3” VJ, 101.82 SPARQ
Breakdown: Had a productive sophomore year, being named to the Treasure Coast Newspaper’s Honorable Mention All-Area Team.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiWR Ahmmon Richards (2016), 6-1, 165, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Wellington
Results: 4.68 40, 4.66 SH, 36.0’ PB, 37.4” VJ, 85.11 SPARQ
Breakdown: Caught 29 passes for 468 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore and has already been offered by Miami, Tennessee and Georgia.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiWR Kahlil Lewis, 5-11 ½, 179, Miramar (Fla.)
Results: 4.75 40, 4.35 SH, 33.0’ PB, 36.9” VJ, 88.80 SPARQ
Breakdown: Lewis committed to West Virginia a little over a month ago over offers that included hometown Miami.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiWR Steven Claude, 6-0 ½, 182, Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic
Results: 4.60 40, 4.40 SH, 36.0’ PB, 34.8” VJ, 94.89 SPARQ
Breakdown: Earned AP Class 2A Honorable Mention All-State Honors after catching 40 passes and scoring on seven of them.

Results: 4.87 40, 4.12 SH, 31.0’ PB, 29.8” VJ, 75.21 SPARQ
Breakdown: Milfort gets the nod by posting the combine’s top shuttle time.

Results: 5.79 40, 5.32 SH, 37.0’ PB, 21.4” VJ, 72.60 SPARQ
Breakdown: Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel All-Broward County selection holds offers from USF, Temple, West Virginia and hometown Miami.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiOL Samuel Clausman, 6-4, 301, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas
Results: 5.64 40, 5.16 SH, 40.0’ PB, 26.6” VJ, 81.39 SPARQ
Breakdown: Clausman, who started for a loaded STA squad as a junior, had the top SPARQ Rating for an offensive lineman on the day.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiOL Marcus Brown, 6-3 ½, 344, Naples (Fla.) Lely
Results: 5.47 40, 4.72 SH, 30.0’ PB, 23” VJ, 73.89 SPARQ
Breakdown: Brown had unbelievably impressive numbers in the 40’ and shuttle for a man of his size and will be one to watch at the Miami Nike Camp.

 

DEFENSE

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDL Dana Levine, 6-4, 218, Hallandale Beach (Fla.) Hallandale
Results: 4.93 40, 4.72 SH, 35.0’ PB, 32.7” VJ, 77.79 SPARQ
Breakdown: Levine, who also impressed at last year’s Miami Nike Combine, was a All-Broward County Honorable Mention selection as a junior.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDL Wyatt Ray, 6-3 ½, 227, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas
Results: 4.97 40, 4.56 SH, 39.0’ PB, 30” VJ, 85.71 SPARQ
Breakdown: Ray packed on over 20 pounds since the Miami Nike Combine last year and kept the speed that will make him a coveted recruit in 2015.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDL Jason Strowbridge, 6-4, 224, Deerfield Beach (Fla.)
Results: 5.01 40, 4.90 SH, 42.0’ PB, 29.2” VJ, 84.75 SPARQ
Breakdown: Strowbridge capped a two-week tear where he earned Alabama, Miami and Florida offers by logging the furthest powerball toss thus far in 2014.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDL Joe Suarez, 6-2, 220, Miami (Fla.) Coral Reef
Results: 4.91 40, 4.50 SH, 39.0’ PB, 30.9” VJ, 88.74 SPARQ
Breakdown: Suarez, who made a name for himself at last year’s Miami Nike events, had 14 sacks as a junior, and showed why he has early offers from Duke and Cincinnati.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiLB Marquis Hendrix, 6-0, 219, Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic
Results: 4.73 40, 4.75 SH, 40.0’ PB, 33.8” VJ, 96.09 SPARQ
Breakdown: Broke out a year ago after a strong sophomore year where he had a team-best 125 tackles.  Was just as good this past season, leading to an offer from Cincinnati.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiLB Darrien McNair, Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic
Results: 4.56 40, 4.72 SH, 33.0’ PB, 34.7” VJ, 89.19 SPARQ
Breakdown: The future Mississippi State Bulldog impressed with a great combination of straight-line speed and power.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiLB Rodrick Archer, 5-11 ½, 184, Plantation (Fla.) South Plantation
Results: 4.55 40, 4.62 SH, 36.0’ PB, 34.8” VJ, 94.89 SPARQ
Breakdown: The FAU commit recorded 17 solo tackles and 47 total tackles this past season.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiLB Frantz Frezin, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central
Results: 4.67 40, 4.50 SH, 37.0’ PB, 39.5” VJ, 99.12 SPARQ
Breakdown: Frezin posted the Nike Combine’s best rating for a linebacker.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDB Tyler Bryd (2016), 5-11 ½, 194, Naples (Fla.)
Results: 4.61 40, 4.59 SH, 38.0” PB, 38.8” VJ, 102.54 SPARQ
Breakdown: The future Florida Gator was named a Student Sports 2013 2nd Team Sophomore All-American.  Had day’s top Rating.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDB Carlton Davis, 6-1, 182, Miami (Fla.) Norland
Results: 4.67 40, 4.50 SH, 40.0’ PB, 36.1” VJ, 99.78 SPARQ
Breakdown: Davis holds multiple offers that include South Carolina, South Florida, North Carolina and Kentucky.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDB Christian Matthew, 6-2, 169, Columbus (Ga.) Hardaway
Results: 4.67 40, 4.50 SH, 33.0’ PB, 38.0” VJ, 86.46 SPARQ
Breakdown: Matthew has attended a Nike Combine the past three years, raising his rating over 50 points (31.68) since his freshmen year.  Has been offered by Missouri and Minnesota to date.

 

Nike Fooball Combine MiamiDB Kendrell McFadden, 6-3 ½, 193, Miramar (Fla.)
Results: 4.66 SH, 35.0’ PB, 27.0” VJ
Breakdown: Named to the Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel All-Broward County Teams and has since committed to West Virginia over offers from Alabama, Miami and LSU.
