Blake Barnett sealed his ticket to The Opening at the Los Angeles Elite 11 Regional in January.

With the Journey to The Opening 2014 set to begin February 1st in New Jersey, it’s time to take a look at the 2015 prospects who’ve popped up on the radar of the Student Sports staff and college coaches around the country.  All week long we’ll be releasing position-by-position watch lists of the top 2015 prospects for The Opening 2014.  These players, plus many others, will continue to be evaluated at Nike Football CombinesNike Football Training Camps, and most importantly, on tape, with selections beginning February 1st at the New Jersey NFSC. We wrap up with the quarterbacks:

Blake Barnett (Santiago, Corona, Calif.) – 6-4, 190 (#GOTOPEN)
Barnett went from watchlist to Opening invite at the Los Angeles Elite 11 Regional. The Notre Dame commit beat out a stacked field for the first golden ticket with a stellar performance throughout the day. Barnett was 165 of 195 for 2,332 yards and 28 touchdowns this past season. He added another 700 yards and 13 TD's on the ground.
De’Andre Johnson (First Coast, Jacksonville, Fla.) - 6-0, 170
The AP Class 8A All-State gunslinger threw for 3,007 yards and 31 TD's on 204 of 300 passing. The three year starter has committed to the National Champion Florida State Seminoles.
J.W. Ketchum (Thurgood Marshall, Missouri City, Texas) – 5-11 ½, 201
With over 1,000 yards both on the ground and in the air the last two seasons, one could argue that Ketchum might be the top duel-threat player in the country. Don’t expect Ketchum, who's 21-4 as a start, to convert to a new position in college, as he proved to be an adequate passer at both the NFTC and Elite 11 in Dallas last year.
Kyler Murray (Allen, Texas) - 5-11, 166
There might not be a more polished signal caller in this class than the Student Sports Junior of the Year. He can flat out throw the ball and even more impressive is his ability to anticipate windows when throwing downfield. Murray was 207 of 325 for 3,669 yards and 46 TD's with 1,300 yards on the ground for Allen, who took home their second straight State Championship.
Lorenzo Nunez (Harrison, Kennesaw, Ga.) - 6-2, 184
Nunez might be a physically gifted as any dual-threat QB in the Class of ‘15 and has picked up a ton of steam on the recruiting trail since his performance at the Atlanta Elite 11 regional and NFTC in April. Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee have come through with offers for the live-armed passer with 4.6 speed.
Josh Rosen (St. John Bosco, Bellflower, Calif.) – 6-4, 200
The Student Sports Junior All-American was stellar this year, leading St. John Bosco to a CIF State Title and FAB 50 No. 3 Ranking. Rosen was at the helm of talented squad, and threw for 3,000 yards and 37 touchdowns. Even more impressive was the 88.17 rating he posted at the LA NFTC last spring.
Brett Rypien (Shadle Park, Spokane, Wash.) – 6-1 ½, 176
The nephew of former Washington Redskins Super Bowl winning quarterback Mark Rypien is already beginning to make a name for himself as one the top prospects in the Northwest. This season Rypien earned AP Class 3A All-State honors for the second straight year after throwing for 3,438 yards and 50 touchdowns.
Ty Storey (Charleston, Ark.) – 6-3, 216
Storey had a huge junior season posting 4,241 yards passing with 52 touchdowns. Sets himself apart with his ability to manage a game at this point in his career. With Bret Bielema taking over at Arkansas, Storey could be a huge boost for the Razorbacks in the years to come.
Ricky Town (St. Bonaventure, Ventura, Calif.) - 6-3, 210
Town was impressive at the Los Angeles Elite 11 Regional, locking himself in as one of the top quarterbacks in 2015. He is a pure passer that could fit into any system and make an early impact. The Alabama commit had 2,300 yards and 25 TD's passing in 9 games this season.
Brandon Wimbush (St. Peter’s Prep, Jersey City, N.J.) - 6-2, 200
The 2nd Team All-State selection had an exceptional workout at the D.C Elite 11 last spring, where he became the only underclassmen last year to earn a shot in the “Pressure Chamber."
