  • Los Gatos junior Maddie Fagan matches the national leader in the girls high jump with a lifetime-best 5-10 meet record clearance!
  • La Sierra’s Tanya Sapa (recent USC signee) sets meet record in SP @ 48-03.75 in the fifth round. She put pressure on the field early with 48-0.25 on first toss. Alemany soph Nia Britt pops big 48 ft even in 5th round.
  • James Logan’s Jeffrey Prothro uncorks a very impressive 49-04 in the triple jump.
  • Marty Taylor of Newport Harbor will keep the throws tradition going under Coach Tony Ciarelli, as evidenced by the 58-03.75 victory in the shot put
  • Redondo Union sweeps the 4x800s in meet record times! Boys win in 8:13.79. Evan Malone-White anchors the boys win in 1:59.7, not bad on a tightly banked 145-meter track. The girls do their part with a fine 9:45.69 on the matchbox-sized oval. Kayla Ferron’s 2.:23.4 anchor leads the win.
